Reggina have officially completed the signing of Manchester City striker Bernardo Corradi.

Official: Reggina Sign Corradi

The 32-year-old Corradi joined Manchester City from Valencia in 2006, but after a poor first season in the Premiership, he was shipped off on loan last year to Parma.

The towering striker scored five goals in 27 appearances for the Gialloblu, but it was all in vain as they were relegated down to Serie B.

Corradi has since signalled his intention to stay in Italy, and he has now been granted this wish after coming to an agreement with Man City, which has allowed him to join Reggina on a one year deal. His objective will be to help the Calabrians avoid relegation once again.

The former Italy international, who won 13 caps for his country, first burst onto the scene during the 2001/02 season when he scored 10 goals in 32 appearances for Chievo. He then moved to Lazio, where he spent two successful campaigns, netting 23 times in 69 games.

This earned Corradi a lucrative three-year contract with Valencia, but his time in Spain was a miserable one and the striker went for his first loan-spell at Parma in 2005/06. After 10 goals for the Crociati, ex-Manchester City manager Stuart Pearce brought Corradi to the English Premiership but another wretched spell ensued as the forward scored just three times in 25 appearances.
