Cottager Kamara To Roma?

Unsettled and injured this summer, Fulham's Diomansy Kamara could be on his way to Roma, accoring to his agent...

Diomansy Kamara - Fulham

27-year-old striker Diomansy Kamara's future at Fulham has been in doubt for some time, with his ambitious agent angling to move his client to Roma.

The Senegalese striker has been plagued by injuries since moving from West Brom to Craven Cottage in the summer of 2007 for £6m, but returned to play a key role in the Cottagers' miracle Premier League survival last term.

The forward previously played in Italy, albeit at a lesser level with Catanzaro and Modena, but feels that a move to Seria A giants Roma could yet be on the cards for Kamara.

At the end of the season, the player told the Daily Mail: "I've had contact from other clubs and I don't know whether I'll be at Fulham next season."

He was then dealt a blow when he underwent reconstructive knee surgery after sustaining further damage playing for his country against Liberia in July.

However, despite the fact that he'll be out until early next year, agent Fabrizio Ferrari has sought to rekindle a fleeting link between Kamara and the Giallorossi.

He said: "I sense the return of a Roma flame for Diomansy Kamara - a player who the people at Trigoria know - a good attacker who is available at a time when players with his characteristics are few.

"At this moment Diomansy is recovering from his injury, but this does not need to be an insurmountable obstacle. I could think of a loan, though Fulham invested heavily in him and could ask a big figure for the entire transfer."
