United interested in Berbatov

Dimitar Berbatov's agent admitted that the Tottenham Hotspur is on the radar of Premiership champions Manchester United.

Following reports on Saturday linking the Bulgarian to a ₤20M move to Old Trafford, agent Emil Danchev did not rule out the switch.

"I know for certain Manchester United have shown interest in signing Dimitar Berbatov. But I'm not entitled to make any more comments," he told Bulgaria's Darik radio.

Berbatov has been poised to leave White Hart Lane last season as he revealed his ambition to join a bigger club.

However, the prolific striker seemed to have settled following the appointment of new coach Juande Ramos from Sevilla.

United said they will not spend much this summer, but the arrival of a new striker will not be surprising.
