Manchester United coach Alex Ferguson said Cristiano Ronaldo would carry on with the Premiership holders despite Real Madrid’s interest in luring him to Santiago Bernabeu.
Spanish champions Real have made no secret of their desire to sign the Portuguese ace, who is widely considered as the finest player in the world.
Ronaldo also revealed his wish to join Los Merengues more than once. However, United were always insistent that he was going nowhere
After meeting the former Sporting Lisbon man, Ferguson has said that the player himself was convinced to stay with the Red Devils.
"The meeting went well - I think we both put across our points of view - where we stand and where the player stands," the Scott told United website.
"I can say he'll be a Manchester United player next season. That's our stance - he won't be sold."
