Amantino Mancini became Jose Mourinho's first signing as the player joined Inter Milan worth $20 million for Roma.
“Both sides are satisfied,” Inter director Gabriele Oriali told Sky Sport Italia on Thursday.
“We hope that Mancini can do as well as Cristian Chivu has for us and become an important player,” added Oriali.
The transfer fee hasn't been announced but the report suggested that Roma will get $20m and the Brazilian player is set to sign a four-year deal that will earn him $4.5m per season.
The arrival of Mancini means Inter will drop the chase for Porto's winger Ricardo Quaresma.
Mourinho has already identified three summer targets; Mancini, Chelsea's Frank Lampard and a striker but he refused to reveal his name.
