Recent speculation now links Andrei Arshavin with Arsenal, with his agent insisting the Zenit star is "desperate" to join Arsene Wenger's side...
Andrei Arshavin's agent continues to angle his client towards Europe's big guns - namely Arsenal - with the Emirates apparently now his preferred destination.
The Russian Euro 2008 star looked set for Barcelona after admitting that he has long desired a move to the Camp Nou, but the Catalan giants have underestimated Zenit St Petersburg's resolve.
Indeed, Barca's bid reportedly failed to interest the Uefa Cup winners' board and agent Dennis Lachter is working overtime to make sure his client ends up at a top club come the end of the summer.
He has claimed that an English club have offered £19m for the creative forward - much closer to Zenit's £24m valuation of the 27-year-old.
Now, talking about Arshavin's potential destination, Lachter told the Daily Mirror: "Andrei is desperate to join Arsenal.
"His style of play would suit them perfectly."
