Tottenham are reportedly a target for a Dubai-based group keen to make them the ninth foreign-owned club in the Premier League.
According to The Daily Mirror, representatives from the optential investors have made contact with Joe Lewis - head of the ENIC investment group which owns 82 per cent of the club - with a view to a takeover.
They presumably think that Lewis would be vulnerable to a bid because he has reportedly lost almost £400m in the US banking crisis.

But the price is likely to be a sticking point, with the club currently valued at just £250m but with the potential for a massive boost if Tottenham do manage to break into the Champions League places.
